Both the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) are awarding bodies accredited by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA). Accreditation by the QCA means that the dance qualifications gained are placed in the National Qualifications Framework for England, Wales and Northern Ireland
